About the time our original 13 states adopted their new constitution, in 1787, Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh, had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2000 years prior:

A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship."

Junior Senator Barack Obama has the perfect tax plan. It will only make the rich pay more. The 1 in 20 of us who make more money than their fair share. He will raise the taxes of the greedy bosses. Thats good, those bosses need to be punished for creating businesses where we can work. Besides, they are always willing to take a cut in their take home pay.

Senator Obama will give 95% of the working class a tax cut. The upper 5% will be get a tax raise to "spread the wealth". One out of every twenty Americans will pay more taxes, if they make more than $250,000. They can afford it. The bosses will do what they always do when faced with an effective increase in their costs of 8.3%.

They will either raise the costs of the items they make or sell in their business. Enough to cover their sudden increase in doing business. This will be fine, the customers will just have to pay the increase, the 20 out of 20 Americans who are customers can afford it.

Or they can just hold off on any raise for their employees. They can recover the 8.3% easily by just not giving their employees any extra money for awhile. Hey, if they work for a rich person making more than $250,000, they can share the responsibility.

Another way that fat cat boss can be forced to come up with that extra money, he can fire 8.3% of his workers. That will teach that rich sucker to work harder than the rest of America and make more money.

I am sure the 1 in 20 Americans who will have to pay more taxes will be able to afford it. There are a lot of ways for them to come up with that money and it won't "punish their success" a bit.

First, they came for the earnings of the rich, to "spread the wealth". But, I didn't care and said nothing, because I wasn't rich.

Then they came for the pay of the upper class, to finance the abortions of unwanted children. But, I again said nothing, after all I wasn't upper class.

Next they came for the middle class, to pay for the government workers needed to oversee the wealth spreading and the abortions. But again, I said nothing, I wasn't middle class either.

Finally, they came for the poor, to pay for the common welfare of the nation. And when I looked around for some one to borrow from to pay what they demanded of me, everyone else was poor too.

A North Kansas City couple has been left scratching their heads after they became the victims of a political scam. Steve and Rachel Larman say a strange credit card charge appeared on their statement this month — a $2300 donation to Barack Obama’s presidential campaign. The Larman’s say they don’t want this to be about their political affiliation, but they say they’re not about to give the Obama campaign any help from their pocketbook. They said they notified Chase, their credit card bank, to report the fraud. “(They) said that they had seen-they were familiar with this,” said Steve Larman. “It was fraud, they believe through telemarketing but they were going to be doing some more investigations.” The Larman’s don’t want their politics to enter into what is essentially just a fraudulent charge. But they say that the charge involves the Obama campaign adds insult to injury for the registered Republicans. “They (Chase) kept on asking me ‘are you sure you wouldnt have gone to a site in support of Obama’,” said Rachel Larman. “And I repeatedly said ‘Im voting for McCain - I would not be going to an Obama site’.” Chase dropped the charge from the Larman’s card. The couple is thankful thay they caught the charge on the card, but worried that others may not see that type of fraud on their own credit cards before it’s too late.

In 2007, the Palins made $166,080.00 and paid taxes totaling $24,738.00. Reported Charity donations where $2,500.00. 1.5% to charity.

John McCain had 2006 earnings of $215,304.00 and paid taxes of $72,771.00. Charitable contributions where $64,695.00. 30.0% to charity.

McCain's 2007 income was $258,800.00 and paid $84,460 in taxes. Contributions to charity where $105,467.00. 40.8% to charity.

Joe Bidens' 2006 income was $248,459.00 with taxes of $42,832.00. His payments to charity equaled $380.00. 0.15% for charity.

The 2007 earnings of Joe Biden where $319,853.00 and paid taxes of $66,273.00. Charity received $995.00. 0.3% towards charity.

Barack and Michelle Obama earned 2006 income of $983,826.00 and paid taxes of $277,481.00. Charitable deductions amounted to $60,307.00. 6.1% for the less fortunate.

The Obama's had 2007 earnings of $4,238,165.00 and paid taxes of $1,396,772.00. Charity received $240,370.00. 5.7% for charity.

The donations of Barack Obama went to various organizations. Among the recipients where Trinity United Church of Christ $22,500.00.

Barack Obama has a half brother, George Hussein Onyango Obama. He is 25 years old and lives in a six by nine foot hut near Nairobi, Kenya. He is learning to become a mechanic and is active in Huruma youth groups. His income is reportedly around $12.00 per year. Barack visited him in 2006. When asked about his relations to Barack by the people he meets, "If anyone says something about my surname, I say we are not related; I am ashamed," he told the Italian Vanity Fair. "No one knows who I am."

As Barack Obama says, we are our brothers keepers. “Whatsoever you do for the least of my brothers.” However, Barack Obama, after all, could not donate for his brother since he had donated $22,500.00 of his $4 million to Trinity Church and didn't have any left to spare. A church where the Reverend Wright espoused hatred of America for the 20 years Barack Obama attended. And he wonders why his wife wasn't proud of America. That's putting money where your mouth is.

This revision changed “traditional lending requirements such as requiring a down payment or limiting mortgage payments to 28 percent of income.” The Boston branch of the Federal Reserve, said these were “arbitrary” and “outdated".

- After relaxing lending standards, President Bill Clinton’s administration's goal of having 67.5 percent national home ownership by 2000 was exceeded.

- A redlining investigation by Clinton's secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Andrew Cuomo, of Fannie Mae entailed the proposal that 50 percent of Fannie Mae's and Freddie Mac's portfolio be made up of loans to low- to moderate-income borrowers by the year 2001.

Economic Storm

- The S. 900 [106th]: Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act of 1999 which deregulated parts of the Glass Steagall Act. Passed the Senate on Nov. 4 1999, The total votes were 90 Ayes (Joe Biden among them; 36 Democrats, 44 Republicans), 8 Nays, 1 Present/Not Voting (John McCain). The Act passed the House on Nov. 4 1999. The total votes were 362 Ayes (Nancy Pelosi among them; 152 Democrat, 210 Republican), 57 Nays (Barney Frank among them), 15 Present/Not Voting. No amendments regarding changes to CRA certification of banks where allowed as the Clinton Administration stressed that it "would veto any legislation that would scale back minority-lending requirements."

- Community Organizing groups like ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now)push banks to make CRA compliant loans. ACORN proudly touted "affirmative action" lending and pressured banks to make sub-prime loans. This is where Barack Obama learned his Executive skills. He funneled money to ACORN from the the Foundations he chaired or headed which funded ACORN's push for sub prime lending. He trained ACORN activists in how to pressure banks into giving CRA loans.

Category 1 Economic Hurricane

- Easy Credit after 9/11. Interest rates where kept deliberately low after the Terrorist attack to bolster economic growth and consumer confidence.

- Congressman Barney Franks vouches in 2003 for the "soundness" of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and said "I do not see" any "possibility of serious financial losses to the treasury." He declared that the federal government has "probably done too little rather than too much to push them to meet the goals of affordable housing."

- Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Ca, said in a Sept. 25, 2003 hearing of the House Committee on Financial Services, "We do not have a crisis at Fannie Mae and in particular Freddie Mac under the outstanding leadership of Frank Raines."

- Commodity prices, among them oil, begin a climb to highs that are multiples of 2000 prices.

- In a 2004 hearing, Rep. William Lacy Clay, D-Mi, tried to inflame and misdirect an investigation that found illegal activity at Fannie Mae by calling it a "lynching," . Both Clay and Fannie Mae CEO Franklin Raines are African American.

- Lobby money from Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac is paid out to supporters. Obama managed to become the third biggest all-time recipient of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac PAC and Lobby money after only three years in the Senate, $105,849.With a 30 year head start, Democratic Sen. Chris Dodd, was number one in receiving loot from Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac, $133,900.

- Any attempt to create any regulatory legislature was derailed by lobby pressure from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Efforts started in 2004/2005 to put them under the supervision of a world class regulator at a new agency within the Department of the Treasury among them. John McCain signed onto this as a co sponsor in 2006. The changes where blocked in committee or by other means for the reasons stated by Representative Frank, Barney H D-MA, who received $40,100 from Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac, He said "These two entities -- Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac -- are not facing any kind of financial crisis, the more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing." Representative Mel Watt(D-NC) added "I don't see much other than a shell game going on here, moving something from one agency to another and in the process weakening the bargaining power of poorer families and their ability to get affordable housing."

Category 3 Economic Hurricane

- FASB 157 goes into effect Nov. 15, 2007. An accounting change that changed asset values to Mark - to - market means devaluing assets to their current market value and not the maturity book value. Devaluing assets in a soft market even if there are no plans to sell the asset in a soft market.

- Housing Bubble bursts. Joe Biden endorsed bill to revise the bankruptcy laws passes. In 2005, Senior Senator Joe Biden helps develop democratic support for the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act. Notice the misleading name Consumer Protection Act, I love how congress always names laws that will harm someone as a law that will protect them. This law prevents saving a primary house by renegotiating the mortgage loan when you file for bankruptcy if you own the house less than 730 days. Now people who bought houses they couldn't afford in the first place and now can't pay their bills, will lose their house and any money they put into it. Many houses enter the market with no one able to buy them. Prices of homes begin to plummet.

- Government passes a $150 billion in a stimulus package for the nation.

- Government bailout of $29 billion for the bad assets of Bear Stearns to entice J.P. Morgan to buy the investment bank .

- Government bailout of $85 billion for 80 percent of AIG.

- Government bailout of $300 billion for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Category 4 Economic Hurricane

- $700 Billion rescue plan enacted in America to purchase the assets containing the sub prime mortgages banks where forced to make because of the Community Reinvestment Act.

- On Sept. 25. 2008, in an appearance by Bill Clinton on ABC's "Good Morning America" . There was reference to his party's reluctance to place more restrictions on Fannie and Freddie. Bill Clinton said, "I think the responsibility that the Democrats have may rest more in resisting any efforts by Republicans in the Congress, or by me when I was president, to put some standards and tighten up a little on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac."
