Dear Leader Obama bows to Saudi King Abdullah at G-20

There is some controversy about an incident that occurred at the G-20 involving our Dear Leader and the Saudi King Abdullah. Apparently some folks claim that Our Dear Leader bowed to the King.

This can not be true.

The White House released a statement:
"It wasn't a bow. He grasped his hand with two hands, and he's taller than King Abdullah," said an Obama aide, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
That should be sufficient to correct the errors of anyone who believes their eyes instead of Dear Leader. In the video of the event, it is clear that Our Dear Leader does not genuflect in deference to King Abdullah.

The fact that King Abdullah has his hand outstretched at shoulder height in preperation for grasping Dear Leader's hand does not mean Dear Leader would not need to bend over to his waist to shake hands. Our Dear Leader is after all a giant among normal men.

The perfectly timed camera flash at just the moment Dear Leader is at his lowest point of reaching down to grasp King Abdullah's hand, almost to the point it could be mistaken he was kissing the King's hand, is merely a coincidence and was not a planned Kodak moment.

The body block of the press cameras is not a result of any pre-planned arrangement to prevent any non MSNBC affiliates from getting a clear shot. After all, there is no conspiracy here between the MSM and Dear Leader to avoid embarrassing news.

We must believe in the truthinessof Our Dear Leader:

I did not have genuflectual relations with that Monarch, King Abdullah.

The Draft is BACK

Dear Leader's central cause for his agenda has passed the House of Representatives. His Civilian Service programs have moved forward in more feel good and misnamed legislation called Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act commonly referred to as the GIVE Act. The United States Senate version is called the Serve America Act. The House Bill is H.R. 1388, the Senate is S. 277. On March 18th, 2009, the House version passed with a vote of 321-105. This legislation is to fund Community Services with High School through College year students at a cost in 2010 of $3 per year per American. Like recent legislation that has passed Congress, the GIVE Act includes amendments, the future ramifications of which seem to be beyond the comprehension of most in Congress. At least I hope it is only stupidity that allows these things to get into laws and it is not on purpose with full and complete understanding by all who vote Aye. In H.R. 1388, in section 6104 there is a subsection called (b). In it, the newly formed Congressional Commission on Civil Service is tasked to explore some interesting concepts.
(6) Whether a workable, fair, and reasonable mandatory service requirement for all able young people could be developed, and how such a requirement could be implemented in a manner that would strengthen the social fabric of the Nation and overcome civic challenges by bringing together people from diverse economic, ethnic, and educational backgrounds.
Dear Leader's Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, wrote a book a few years back. It is called 'The Plan'. In it he proposed that all young people age 18-25 be required to spend 3 months in civil service. In an interview he declared that "we would be stronger" if there was a mandatory civil service. I am still wondering who the 'we' are he is referring to. This past Saturday, 'volunteers' for 'community service' helped to 'explain' the 'need' for Dear Leader's Budget. From a story in Birmingham News.
"We're looking for supporters," said DeHaven of Hoover, one of the event's organizers. "We're not looking for a fight. That will come later, when we have an army."
The volunteers are part of Organizing for America, the same grassroots, national network credited in large part with Obama's quick rise from obscurity to president. Birmingham and 11 other sites statewide were part of a national push this weekend by Organizing for America to trumpet Obama's spending proposal.
DeHaven no doubt is waiting for the "civilian security force. just as strong, just as well funded as our military" that Dear Leader promised him during the campaign. Then he can look for a fight. Dear Leader has a web site, USAService, for the beginnings of the recruitment effort to start his civilian service. Sign up now, no doubt the 'early volunteers' will be held in higher esteem and promoted better than the 'mandatory' recruits. From our Dear Leaders official website http://www.whitehouse.gov/agenda/service/ we find the following statement REQUIRING service.
Require 100 Hours of Service in College: Establish a new American Opportunity Tax Credit worth $4,000 a year in exchange for 100 hours of public service a year.
As well as the statement:
Promote College Serve-Study: Ensure that at least 25 percent of College Work-Study funds are used to support public service opportunities
I suppose this will be credit classes for students to spend one quarter of their time at school doing Civil Service with organizations like ACORN. Or pushing Dear Leaders agenda like the current Budget push at Organizing for America which occurred across America this past Saturday reported in Birmingham News and CNN. Previously, when Dear Leader - elect Obama was outlining his promise to 'fix' America, he had on his Change.Gov web site on the America Serves page.
America Serves “When you choose to serve — whether it’s your nation, your community or simply your neighborhood — you are connected to that fundamental American ideal that we want life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness not just for ourselves, but for all Americans. That’s why it’s called the American dream.” The Obama Administration will call on Americans to serve in order to meet the nation’s challenges. President-Elect Obama will expand national service programs like AmeriCorps and Peace Corps and will create a new Classroom Corps to help teachers in underserved schools, as well as a new Health Corps, Clean Energy Corps, and Veterans Corps. Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by developing a plan to require 50 hours of community service in middle school and high school and 100 hours of community service in college every year. Obama will encourage retiring Americans to serve by improving programs available for individuals over age 55, while at the same time promoting youth programs such as Youth Build and Head Start.
A Google cached copy is at America Serves Cache Copy From Nov. 7th 2008. A screen shot of the Google cached copy is at America Serves Cache Copy From Nov. 7th 2008. I suppose anyone that doesn't meet the 50 hours of service (100 for college age) will be able to fulfill their requirement at re-education centers. Our Dear Leader will will no doubt have his thralls in joyous rapture over the prospect of involuntary servitude for the betterment of The Dear Leaders pet programs. Maybe sweeping the streets of his ideal city to keep them pristine, or signing up more and more registered 'Progressive' Democrats, or harassing rich people ( the new villainous class for the 'O shirts' to blame for all the woes of the world ) to give mortgage loans to people that can never pay them back. After getting some flak over some constitutional conflicts, the constitutional lawyer, the then Dear Leader - elect stealth changed the web page. The changes between the copies is in bold.
The Obama Administration will call on Americans to serve in order to meet the nation’s challenges. President-Elect Obama will expand national service programs like AmeriCorps and Peace Corps and will create a new Classroom Corps to help teachers in underserved schools, as well as a new Health Corps, Clean Energy Corps, and Veterans Corps. Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by setting a goal that all middle school and high school students do 50 hours of community service a year and by developing a plan so that all college students who conduct 100 hours of community service receive a universal and fully refundable tax credit ensuring that the first $4,000 of their college education is completely free. Obama will encourage retiring Americans to serve by improving programs available for individuals over age 55, while at the same time promoting youth programs such as Youth Build and Head Start.
The change.gov stealth edited and changed copy is at America Serves . The Change.gov modified text says it's a goal. Now that he is in office, the path he is on is more to the promise of the original version. For a constitutional lawyer, you would think he would remember the amendment to the constitution over involuntary servitude that we fought a civil war over. O, that's right, it was a REPUBLICAN president, the founder of the Republican party, the party invented to abolish slavery, the party created by Abraham Lincoln, that pushed for that change. It doesn't count. This is just another example of the problems in the constitution that the Warren Court didn't fix and now he will.

Constitutional Amendment XIII

Section 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.
I don't suppose this will be a problem for him now that he is Dear Leader and will 'fix' the broken constitution that the Warren Court didn't go far enough to fix to his liking. After all, congress is legislating the changes he wants, and he can still appoint judges, including the Supreme Court, to 'fix' the constitution if it will impede his 'central cause'. The constitution only says what the government 'must not' do. It doesn't say what it 'must' do. Perhaps the constitutional lawyer in our Dear Leader will 'fix' the constitution so that the government can develop a 'workable, fair, and reasonable mandatory service requirement' for young citizens to serve his whim and whimsy. With Congress passing his dreamed for legislation he may not need to issue Executive Orders, even though they are so much fun to use.

Farmers discover new energy source

In Our Dear Leader's address on 11-29-2008, he discusses farmers "who can tap new sources of energy".

Here we are, using corn for ethanol and soybeans for diesel.

 Who needs corn for food?

These children don't really care that food is being used to make fuel for your car. Look at how happy they are to go without food so we can use food for fuel! In Haiti, they are making 'mud ' cookies to eat. Mixing fat with mud and leaving them in the sun to dry, then eating them. Just to keep something in their belly. So, during the holiday seasons, when your netroot buddies shout 'Bio-Fuel', remember these children and all the others like them. The caring, loving, save-the-planet Progressives aren't.

Not only do we use food crops for fuel, we subsidize farmers to NOT grow crops. To leave the land fallow even when we don't want the land to grow crops for food or fuel. If that land does not need to be fallow for crop rotation reasons or wet lands buffer, it should be growing crops and the subsidies still awarded if they send the crops harvested to help the famine areas of the world. I know the farm subsidy system is broken, but that's a whole 'nother story.

Of course, simply sending a starving man food is a short term solution. Help to set them up to farm their own crops and become self sufficient is the long term solution. Progressives want to help? They should study Agriculture and Animal Husbandry in college, not Marxism and hanging out at the local coffee shop complaining about how conservatives donate more to charity than they do. Then the Progressives can go to the schools in the countries that need help and teach something useful.

But back to the issue of food turned into fuel. If ALL of the corn grown in the U.S. where to be turned into ethanol, it would only supply 15% of the fuel needed for cars. If all of the soybeans grown in the U.S. where to be used for diesel, it would supply only 6% of the diesel needed. I don't think this amount of fuel actually qualifies as farmers "tapping a new source of energy".

Bio fuels are NOT the answer to the energy needs of the U.S. or the world. We need all farmland growing food for food. Of course, the scientists might be able to perfect a cellulose to ethanol process, then we can cut down all the plants that absorb CO2 to make fuel. That will certainly for definite sure solve that Global Warming thing.

We need a long term sustainable energy source for fuel that provides 100% of the fuel. At a cost that provides for economic growth, not recession. Until then, we drill for oil, everywhere the oil is, especially if it is in American territorry where we can drill free from terrorists and pirates.

No one is going to invest in building the infrastructure for a fuel source that will only provide a fuel for a small fraction of the vehicles we drive. The Government will forever have to oversee (bigger government), and subsidize (paid for by the government) any 'bio-fuel' manufacturing and delivery system with taxes.
